Vero van Kregten
My Story
Vero van Kregten is a visual artist based in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Growing up she fell in love with drawing influenced by her Mom who was a portrait artist. She was encouraged to study and develop her drawing skills from an early age.
Her work explores the beauty of nature as well as creating portraits. Her expressive floral paintings convey a sense of movement, and vivid color that can evoke emotion and memories. Her portraits are intimate, expressive and personal inviting viewers to step into her world of form, color and light.
She worked as a Kindergarten teacher and Head of Section for many years and encouraged her students to express their creativity. She returned to her love for art full time when she retired and is now actively painting and promoting her work.

My Art
My vision is to continue creating unique paintings that combine the excitement of loose abstract backgrounds with the beauty of fine art representational expressions. Portraits and florals fascinate me and challenge me on a daily basis. Passion and excellence are the guiding lights of my work.
Acryllic washes, mark making and spray painting finished off with oil allows me to explore endless possibilities in the studio. Quick sketching, bold brushstrokes and attractive color stories are characteristic of my painting style. Above all, I am driven to become the best artist that I can be one piece at a time.
Most of the time I paint in series to develop collections around a theme or a style of painting. Whenever possible, I love to express my committment to my faith and my God through the themes that I pick.
